“Today sucked, fucking…I worked…it was awful; I lied around and watched news all day.”

– Birthday Inferno, 2005

Recorded between 2003 and 2007, 2012:via_NYS: is one of the earliest segments or “bands” to be included in the 2012: Site-Specific project. Throughout various locations in New York state, including the cities of Buffalo, Oneonta, and the village of New Hyde Park, producer Myke Flaherty began recording the riff-raff that lived/loitered around his residences.

After 4 years of recording, 2012:via_NYS: BLOWN OUT!” was released in 2007. This is considered the first definitive 2012: Site-Specific project and is the only release thus far that encompasses multiple locations in New York State.

A follow up to 2012:via_NYS: BLOWN OUT! is a planned future release. Also in the works is a compilation of unreleased material.
